Crimestoppers of Decatur and Macon County, Illinois

The Decatur Police Department needs your help in solving this week’s crime of the week, which is in reference to an armed robbery.

On August 16th at approx. 8 p.m., officers were detailed to Razan Discount Tobacco Store, located at 1237 E. Eldorado Street.  Upon arrival officers made contact with the owner who advised that while he was working 3 unknown b/m’s entered the store, one armed with handgun and one armed with a knife.  The suspect with the handgun pointed the gun at the owners head and ordered him to remove all the money from the cash register.  Next, the owner was ordered to remove all money from his pockets and place it in a bag along, with several cartons of cigarettes.  After collecting the money and cigarettes, all three suspects fled the store on foot. We need your help in solving this crime.

  Suspect #1, who had the handgun, was described as a b/m in his late 20’s wearing blue jean shorts and a black t-shirt.  He was approx. 6 ft. tall and was heavy set.  Suspect #2, whom had the knife, was described as a b/m, approx. 20 years old.  He had a medium build and was approx. 5’8” tall. Suspect #3 was described as a heavy set b/m, 20 years old and was approx. 6 ft. tall.
